Microclimate control with Deep Breathing Exercise (DBE) : taking greatness to the next level.
We give you TheraFlo AP, the mattress replacement system that provides not only maximum comfort with microclimate control but also is exceptionally intelligent with Deep Breathing Exercises. Taking something great and make it truly outstanding, TheraFlo AP defie limitations in wound care therapy, because we simply will not be satisfied with anything less than perfect.
Take a deep breath -- Pulsate with Deep Breathing Exercise (DBE).
TheraFlo Support surfaces immerse patients deep into the surface, this allows a better environment for the treatment of wounds. However, immersion creates shallow breathing due to poor pulmonary posture. TheraFlo AP's Pulsate or DBE mode rapidly lifts the patient from the immersed state to allow the patient's head and shoulders to lay flat on the surface. The patient is encouraged to take long deep breaths during this 90-second cycle. After the 90-second hyper-inflation ends, the pressure rapidly drops to the prior immersion setting to achieve full body offloading and mechanically cause reactive hyperemia, improved perfusion and O2 saturation. Improving patient outcomes and decreasing the length of hospital stays, DBE, is an ingenious wound care therapy method.
Caring for our patients down to every last detail.
For patients with sensitive skin conditions, negative microclimate can cause serious issues in developing pressure ulcers. Moisture on the skin can cause the skin to lose the dry outer layer and reduce tolerance of the skin for pressure and shear. It may also cause the bonds between epithelial cells to weaken, thus resulting in maceration. Temperature also plays an important role in microclimate control. With every 1 ℃ rise in cutaneous temperature, the cutaneous metabolic demand rises 13%. TheraFlo AP provides advanced microclimate control through extraordinary true low air loss technology, TheraFlo AP offers optimal management of the microclimate by creating a high airflow beneath the coverlet that is constantly expelling excess humidity. It is this type of instance to cause that sets TheraFlo AP apart from ant other wound care systems in the market. We take care of the details, we take care of you.
TheraFlo AP offers superb pressure relief, with microclimate control and DBE - two of the most sophisticated technologies in the market. The results cannot be duplicated by traditional alternating pressure systems. We do not stop at being great, we take greatness to the next level.
The IPS Technology, Intelligent Pressure Sensing Technology, responds to patient movements on mattress by automatically adjusting internal mattress pressure, which allows TheraFlo AP to regulate airflow and continuously provide total envelopment for our patients. Carilex is the first brand in the industry to master IPS. This gives us more experience and vast knowledge in the technology that is years ahead of our competitors.
TheraFlo AP Power Unit also comes with sophisticated design providing 3 distinct therapy modes and complies with the highest standard of the Support Surface Standards Initiative (S3I) by the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (NPUAP).
Modes :
• Static • Alternating • Pulsation
TheraFlo AP 7&9 is a preventive and therapeutic system for the management of patients with a high risk of developing pressure injuries. The low air loss technology along with highly innovative coverlet material provides a surface with maximum level of pressure release while expelling excess humidity between the mattress and the patient.
Optional Aeotex coverlet
Aeotex™ sets the highest standard for air permeability in wound care industry, providing Direct Low Air Loss, taking the therapy directly to patient skin. Aeotex™ allows airflow to gently pass through the coverlet, evenly distributes across patient skin, ensuring the most effective moisture and temperature control. The low friction surface design strengthens the fabric resistance to shear and provides ease to daily nursing activities.
